Awards Presented to 27 Hospitals at Perinatal Summit

(Charleston, WV) The West Virginia Perinatal Partnership presented 27 birthing hospitals in the state with awards for their work to advance perinatal care in seven initiatives of the Partnership. The Partnership honored the hospitals on November 6 during the West Virginia Perinatal Summit at the Charleston Marriott Town Center.

The categories of the initiatives to advance perinatal care and the birthing hospitals honored for their work are as follows:

Birthing facilities that support breastfeeding by choosing to join the national effort to “Ban the Bags” of infant formula given to new mothers and by registering on BantheBags.org
