WV Perinatal Summit - 2008
Thursday, November 13, 2008
These summits were designed to bring together multiple disciplines that provide perinatal healthcare through clinical practice, community programs and professional and patient education. Local and regionally recognized faculty encouraged participants to consider collaborative, innovative strategies when faced with challenges in perinatal healthcare delivery and education. guidelines

hospital practice
• Utilize data regarding addictive substance use during pregnancy to drive
best practices
• Design regional quality improvement strategies to promote breastfeeding
• Build and strengthen the West Virginia Perinatal Partnership
• Understand and design efforts to reduce unplanned pregnancy
• Design a statewide telecommunications program for high risk consultations
and continuing education
The summits were held in the auditorium of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center of West Virginia University/Charleston Division, 3110 MacCorkle Avenue SE, Charleston, WV (on CAMC's Memorial Division Campus).
